For the last 15 years, St. Patrick’s  Community College offers timely intervention for youths who discontinue schooling due to poverty and circumstances. We have trained hundreds of  students  all these years and helped them to get jobs successfully. We have been highly successful in bringing education and vocational training to students living in rural areas. Most of our graduates have found jobs earning a decent salary. This year, we offer two years of  training in Medical Lab Tech and Nursing Assistance are offered for 18 students. This is excellent for our people who are first starting out in the job market.

We have two community colleges that offer job oriented programs for the last ten years to young men and women who could not pursue college degrees to due poverty. It is also a wonderful opportunity for the school dropouts to enroll in career based training. The majority of the beneficiaries are marginalized Dalit communities who otherwise struggle to find daily labour. Our aim is to develop capable, job-ready graduates by offering several practical programs in technology, and community service. Programs such as Nursing Assistance, Tailoring, Fashion Design, and  Accounting are popular programs. More than five hundred trainees have received job offers with a decent salary of  $75 to $150 per month. Women have benefited greatly finding jobs in nursing assistants and tailors. 85% of our candidates are successful in getting placements in companies throughout the country.

A total of 95% of graduating students from the Vocational Training Program over the past eight years have found jobs earning as much as $100.00 per month. This is excellent for our people who are first starting out in the job market. St. Patrick’s Community College has been highly successful in bringing education and vocational training to families living in rural areas.
